Octifest on the Beach is the Sanibel Sea School’s annual fundraiser, held bayside under a big top tent on the Sanibel Causeway. This year’s event, held on April 13, was a success. More than 250 guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with sunset views, live and silent auctions, a delicious dinner, and stargazing. For the first time ever, the evening also featured a scavenger hunt designed to help participants learn more about the organization’s mission, vision and partnerships. “We are so grateful for the support of our community members,” Executive Director Dr. Bruce Neill said. “They make it possible for us to provide meaningful ocean experiences for so many children who would not have that opportunity otherwise.”
