High Build Crack Filler

The use of high build (thick and pliable) products to fill and bridge holes and cracks is a critical component of the preparation and waterproofing of a building. There are high quality caulking compounds available which remain flexible and will continue to prevent water intrusion for many decades. Elastomeric water proof coatings and high build water proof paints can be used to bridge across cracks in a stucco wall as large as 1/8th of an inch. There is a very specific preparation process necessary to insure that a properly selected product will perform as intended. Not every product is the correct one for each job. Only a qualified applicator will be able to assess the requirements of each specific application. Our use of extensive preparation procedures and high build products has resulted in a great success at eliminating water intrusion through old cement and stucco walls. In new construction the use of high build products has limited the extent of shrink cracks and paint failures.
