For Bailey’s, we applied a Thermal Barrier Coating over spray foam insulation to provide 15 minute fire barrier for the safety of fire fighters and other personnel.
This project was completed while the General Store was open for business. The hardware store was partitioned and all merchandise, shelving, and floors in one half were covered. Customer access, while limited was maintained during regular hours of operation.
The actual spray application of a new and advanced thermal barrier product was accomplished during the night, with crews working around the clock. The use of three airless paint sprayers allowed us to apply 235 gallons of thermal barrier coating, (with cover, touch up and clean up) over the entire hardware store ceiling in less than 48 hours while maintaining functional access during normal store hours.
